Lisa Farmer
Sports Therapist
From the stage, to the rink, to everyday life, Lisa understands what it takes to keep the body performing at its best.
Lisa joined The Recovery Lab in January, initially managing the clinic's social media before developing her passion for sports therapy and qualifying in Sports Massage, supported and mentored by Caitlyn.
Lisa has also worked closely with the Fife Flyers professional ice hockey team, providing rink-side game-day support, treatment and recovery assistance to help players perform at their best.
Performance & Movement
With more than 15 years of experience in the dance industry, Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge in performance, teaching, movement, conditioning and recovery.
Her performance career has taken her from Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End to Disneyland Paris, giving her first-hand experience of the physical demands placed on performers and athletes.
Understanding how the body moves, performs, fatigues and recovers is at the heart of Lisa's approach. Her experience as both a performer and therapist allows her to understand the importance of looking after your body, whether you're training for a competition, performing on stage or simply trying to feel your best in everyday life.
Inclusive & Accessible Care
Lisa also holds Makaton qualifications, helping her provide a more accessible and inclusive experience for clients who may communicate differently.
She is passionate about creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, listened to and supported throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
Over the coming months, Lisa plans to introduce further treatment options at The Recovery Lab, including lymphatic drainage, as she continues to broaden the services available to clients.
